SERENITY SUNSET is a spacious, comfortable 5-bedroom 6-bath family-friendly retreat. Located on the quiet, laid-back East End of St George Island, the house offers views of the Gulf of Mexico AND Apalachicola Bay which can be found from the large decks on every level of the home. This private beach of the Sunset gated community is adjacent to the Dr. Julian G. Bruce Island State Park, so it’s a normal day to have the soft, sugar-sand beaches all to yourself. Bayside or beachside, Serenity Sunset offers unspoiled nature in the round, a magical experience your family will never forget. Located next to the community pool and 50 steps to the boardwalk to the beach, you’ve found the perfect Island getaway for members of all ages.
The elevated first floor includes 4 bedrooms. The two north-facing large king-bedroom suites enjoy a full private bathroom, Smart TV, and direct access to a furnished covered deck with expansive bay views. The south-facing bedroom includes two queen-sized beds, a Smart TV, a full bathroom with twin vanities, and direct access to the deck with Gulf views. Finally, a fun, nautical-themed bedroom includes two sets of twin bunk beds and a private bath. This is a cheerful space the kids will love that includes a Smart TV and their own collection of kid-friendly books. This floor also conveniently includes a full-sized washer and dryer.
The expansive top floor features soaring ceilings, an inviting open kitchen, and a living and dining room for the family to relax and dine together. There is plenty of comfy seating and a new 65-inch Smart TV and fireplace in the main living area. The open-concept kitchen allows you to cook gourmet meals, engage in conversation, play a board game, or look out over the bay while enjoying the evening sunset! This home has been lovingly arranged to meet all your needs, with a fully-stocked kitchen, two sinks and dishwashers, and a new stainless steel refrigerator perfect for entertaining large families. The dining table is large enough for 10 people plus additional seating for 5 at the kitchen island.
After dinner, walk out onto the large covered deck to watch the spectacular sunsets that are often the main show of the evening. This deck offers a breathtaking panorama of the bay where it is not unusual to see bald eagles, herons, and many other creatures who call paradise their home. The deck includes a large dining table for alfresco dining plus an additional seating area perfect for conversations and a glass of wine.
For your convenience, the elevator services all three floors and is perfect for carrying luggage and groceries up to each floor. Take the elevator downstairs, turn west and you’ll find the community pool, clubhouse, and tennis courts, and an easy stroll to the boardwalk and beach. And while the east end of the barrier island is a haven for tranquility, you’re not far from plenty of action: take your pick of sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, shelling, sunset/dolphin tours, boat rentals, and fishing tours. Landlubbers can take in museums, and art galleries, and sample the flourishing restaurant scene, or just stretch out on the pristine beaches under the sun-scrubbed sky and take a well-deserved nap.
* There is an upfront $150 pet fee. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Each additional dog will be $50 per stay.
* We provide a variety of pet-friendly supplies including stainless steel dog bowls (2 large, 2 small), dog towels, a pet station with wipes, waste bags, a dog bed, and finally spoil your dog with dog treats provided in the kitchen.

Linens, towels, beach towels, hairdryers, beach chairs, beach umbrellas – we have travel-size! Serenity Sunset has everything you would want for the perfect St. George’s Island vacation. Please know that when you are our guests, you don’t have the extra costs or aggravation of renting beach chairs, umbrellas, carts, beach/pool towels, beach toys, etc. Our home comes well-stocked, which saves you time, money, and a suitcase. A few things we provide: travel-size bath soaps, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, spices, olive oil, and cleaning products. All you really need to do is, bring your luggage and your groceries.

Sunset Beach community amenities include a gated entrance adjacent to the State Park, a community pool, an open-air clubhouse, and tennis courts.
Policy and Notes
Payment Schedule – 50% due at the time of booking and 50% due 30 days prior to arrival.
Damage Deposit – A pre-authorization of $500 is due 2 days before arrival and released 7 days after departure.
Cancellation Policy –Guest receives 97% if cancellation occurs more than 60 days before arrival; Guest receives 47% if cancellation occurs more than 30 days before arrival; No refunds within 30 days of arrival.

Other things to note
- It is not uncommon to encounter wildlife animals, such as bears, while staying in cabins in the Smoky Mountains. Please keep your car doors locked.
Note: We do not give refunds based on weather, illness, job loss, emergency cancellations of any nature, nor do we consider date changes outside of 30 days’ notice. We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance to cover your vacation in the event of unexpected changes to your trip.
We provide linens for beds, bath towels, hand towels, makeup towels, wash cloths and beach towels for the hot tub.
We provide a starter kit that includes 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and hand soap. Additionally, we’ll also provide you with a roll of paper towels, a dishwasher detergent pod, dish soap, a few trash bags, and laundry pods. You will need to purchase or bring additional items when the initial supply runs out.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would expect in a normal kitchen plus a toaster, waffle maker, blender, various size pots & pans, serving bowls and platters, and even a chip and dip platter! We also provide a full coffee bar that allows you to make coffee your way - regular coffee pot, Keurig, french press and a pour-over pot. Ground coffee, coffee beans, creamer and sweetners are all provided.
Yes. There is a new Weber gas grill located outside by the side of the cabin.
Yes we welcome pets into our beach house. We allow a maximum of 2 adult dogs. Guests must provide the age, weight and breed of each dog. All pets must be pre approved before check-in for acceptance. There is an upfront $100 pet fee. The $20 nightly fee will apply for each additional dog.
We provide a variety of pet friendly supplies to make your pet’s stay comfortable. We include stainless steel dog bowls (2 large, 2 small), dog towels, pet station with wipes, waste bags, dog bed and finally we spoil your dog with dog treats provided in the kitchen.
We ask that pets be placed in a crate when left alone in the house and that they stay off of furniture and bedding.
Yes! Our hot tub is drained, cleaned, and refilled for every stay.
You may check in any time after 4:00 PM and you must checkout prior to 10:00 AM on the day of your departure.
The roads are well maintained and paved. However, the final mile is definitely steep and can be intimidating for people not used to driving in the mountains!
Only if snow or ice conditions are present. It’s basically a rule of thumb for all mountain roads in this area that if ice or snow conditions are present, you should have 4-wheel drive or snow chains. We cannot predict what the weather will do, although we always hope it’s ideal for your stay. No refunds will be given due to weather conditions.
We provide unlimited high speed (800 MBPS) cable internet with Wi-Fi. We also provide USB chargers in every bedroom for convenience.
We have a paved driveway to the right of the cabin that accommodates up to 4 vehicles.
Yes! We decorate for Christmas between Nov-Jan each year.
